Taking Chinese is the best choice I made coming into the University of Virginia. Not only have I had fun learning but I have also met so many amazing people. Our teacher, Tseng Laoshi, makes this challenging language seem simple and extremely enjoyable. Her enthusiasm drives us all to embrace Chinese and put in our best effort every day of the week. We are pushed without being overwhelmed and that has made this class the most rewarding class to take. Taking Chinese has also exposed me to many people who I would ordinarily not have known. Very interesting and exciting people take Chinese and I have loved getting to know them through daily class. I have even met one of my best friends at the University through Chinese. Overall, my first year has been made so much better by taking this class. I love the teacher, the people, and the language. |
