INTRODUCTION

It has always been a goal of mine to eventually become fluent in
Chinese, and this class has helped me in the first steps to realize
this. I have found the tone marks to be difficult, but I am
gradually mastering them, and I love to write characters, especially
in the traditional form. Although the class requires work, we learn
quickly, especially under the skilled instruction of Tseng laoshi.
Learning Chinese has been a positive experience and Chinese class
has been very enjoyable.

My Most Excellent Work

1.	Lesson 4- Hobbies
2.	Lesson 8- School Life
3.	Lesson 2- Family

I have ranked these passages by what I consider to be my highest
quality work. I really enjoyed Lesson 4, and enjoyed knowing how to
talk about many of my favorite pastimes. I consider this dialogue the
best. I had fun writing my narrative for Lesson 8, and tried to not
make too many mistakes. I felt the content of this narrative was
interesting and accurately portrayed my daily life. I also felt the
dialogue for Lesson 2 was interesting, although the span of vocabulary
was not large since it was an earlier work. Overall I feel these works
are a good representation of my present level of Chinese education.
