INTRODUCTION

I feel that this class has been one of the most time-consuming as well as 
challenging courses that I have taken. However, I also feel that it has been 
the most rewarding. Since I am Chinese, I have always wanted to be able to speak 
the language of my native land fluently. Though I am not very close to that goal, 
Tseng laoshi has helped me take steps toward that goal.

2.	Lesson 8- School Life
3.	Lesson 4- Hobbies

I have selected the following passages according to quality and content. I chose 
my narrative from Lesson 7 because of its straightforward manner and the use of 
vocabulary. I feel this piece is my best work. As for lesson 8, though it did not 
get the highest grade, I am proud of my attempt to use more complex sentence 
structures and humor in Chinese. Finally, I chose the dialogue of Lesson 4 because 
it makes use of various possible daily conversation and old vocabulary.
