INTRODUCTION "I do not expect any of you to be tardy or absent from my class." I heard those words of warning from Tseng laoshi the first time that I was late to class. Back then, it sounded as though I was merely being reprimanded in front of class for my tardiness. However, remembering what Tseng laoshi had explained after her warning, I gradually realize the importance of attending her class on a regular basis. Such a vast amount of knowledge is taught during each class period that even missing one class can leave you feeling behind. Trust me. I should know. Chinese 101 has been a fun and a challenging experience for me at the University. Having no prior knowledge of the language, I had to spend hours of studying and practicing each week just to 'get by', especially with my never-ending Engineering schoolwork. It is true that Chinese 101 has not been easy for me. However, the Chinese language possesses interesting and elegant qualities, so much that being able to write and read Chinese characters bring an immense sense of accomplishment. Moreover, the way Tseng laoshi conducts her class has helped me to derive fun from learning Chinese. My Most Excellent Work 1. Lesson 7- Studying Chinese 2. Lesson 8- School Life 3. Lesson 4- Hobbies These three lessons are listed in the order of quality and content from my personal views. Lesson 7 is my best work and the most interesting lesson. Secondly, Lesson 8 is my favorite and among one of my best works. This truly was a challenging lesson, which required us to review past lessons. Nevertheless, the use of a diary and a letter in the passages was intriguing. My last pick, Lesson 4, is among my favorites. I was able to expand my Chinese vocabulary while keeping my interests up.Self-Introduction: Image File NJ Star File Audio File
