Po Soo-Hoo

INTRODUCTION

Chinese 101 has definitely been one of the more challenging classes
I have attended here at the University of Virginia. My initial
desire to even take Chinese was to be able to prove to myself that
I could learn how to read and write one of my native languages. It
has been a delightfully challenging experience. It truly amazes me
to know that I have learned so much information within such a short
time period and it makes me feel good too. One of the most beneficial
things I have gotten from Chinese 101 is a better understanding for
my culture and the beautiful language it possesses.

My Most Excellent Work

1.	Lesson 2- Family
2.	Lesson 3- Dates and Time
3.	Lesson 6- Making Appointments

These are my three favorite passages that I have created. I am truly
proud of them because they show my increased knowledge of the Chinese
language and my ability to read and write. It makes me feel good!
Lesson 2 means a lot to me because I get to describe and write about
my family. The vocabulary was very fun to learn as well and I get to
use it at home all the time now. Lesson 3 was very challenging for me
because of the grammatical structures and learning to write all the
characters correctly. But also this lesson was one of the longest ones
that I have ever written as well. The last passage that I chose was
from Lesson 6. I really enjoyed learning all the new vocabulary and
the topic was very interesting as well. This is one of my best dialogues.
