INTRODUCTION

Unlike many people in this class who did not expect to do a lot of
work in an introductory foreign language class, I had already heard
of the workload this class offers, yet it was still a bit overwhelming
during the first two weeks of this semester. The hardest part for me
was getting used to the daily discipline of the class. This class was
a very demanding class with a lot of homework, but it was a very
rewarding class. Tseng laoshi is very articulate and effective in
instructing this course. I am also very appreciative of her effort to
bring each section together. I feel very close to students in my section
with whom I have shared very good, interesting, and funny memories.

My Most Excellent Work

1.	Lesson 3- Dates and Time
2.	Lesson 6- Making Appointments
3.	Lesson 4- Hobbies

I have ranked my passages as above for following reasons. First of all,
all three of the passages are dialogues with good content. I have ranked
Lesson 3 first because I made this dialogue by incorporating a lot of new
vocabulary as well as old vocabulary from Lessons 1 and 2. At the time
it was a pretty hard task to do since it was the beginning of the semester
when I had not gotten the hang of writing a dialogue yet. I also made very
few mistakes in Lesson 3. I have chosen Lesson 6 as the second passage.
Though it contained a few mistakes, I feel as though its content was
different and interesting. Lesson 4 was one of my favorites because its
content was funny Neil and I had a great time practicing this one.
