INTRODUCTION

Being an engineering student and taking the Chinese language was a lot of work, but I 
think that it was definitely worth it.  Tseng Laoshi is very enthusiastic about her 
teaching and our learning, and is one of the easiest teachers I’ve had to work with 
at the University.  The students that have taken this class with me are also very 
dedicated and hard-working, so the class ended up being a very intense learning 
environment.  All in all, I’d have to say that I enjoyed the class a lot, and learned 
a lot about the language and culture of China.  

My Most Excellent Work: 1) Dating  2) Asking Directions  3) Travel

I chose these three compositions because they were the most fun to write.  Keith and 
I tried to be funny in both Dating and Asking Directions, and we thought we did a 
fairly good job of doing that.  The third composition I chose because I thought I did 
a good job of using the grammar structures from that lesson.
